Frequently Asked Questions

Is online counseling/Telehealth an option?

Yes, at Healing Conversations LLC, both in person and online counseling are offered to work around your schedule. Let me know your preference so we can find the time and environment where online therapy is most effective. I also offer hybrid counseling where we meet both online and in-person since some of my therapeutic techniques are most effective in person.

Do I prescribe medication?

No, I do not prescribe medication. I can suggest psychiatrists whom I’ve worked with who would be able to provide you medication to pair with therapy. Medication on its own is ineffective in resolving many mental health issues, as it only suppresses the symptoms. From my experience, pairing medication provided by a psychiatrist along with therapy is the most effective solution for long term progress and treatment. I also can work with your psychiatrist of choice, providing them feedback on the effectivity of medication and any behavior which may have improved or deteriorated, due to medication which will help in their ability to properly prescribe and dose your medication.

Is counseling offered for children?

Yes, I offer counseling services for children, typically ages 6 and up. This counseling is mainly for developmental issues, difficulty fitting in, behavioral problems, or mood issues. This therapy is mainly done in person due to difficulties with focus or technical issues when done online, although I have done it successfully many times before. If you would like to have counseling done for your child, let me know since having the parents involved is also keenly important to the success of the counseling.

What languages, religions, or sexualities is therapy offered for?

I speak English, Hindi, and Urdu fluently and can offer services in those languages. I can understand Punjabi as well although my speaking isn’t fluent. I prefer to have secular counseling, and offer therapy to people of all religious backgrounds. I do not center my practice around one religion since I believe pain is universal across all people. I offer therapy for people of all sexualities in the LGBTQIA+ community, and work with many on a regular basis.

Do I offer out-of-state therapy?

I am only licensed to offer psychotherapy services in the state of Nevada, but I offer life-coaching for out-of-state clients which offers many of the same/similar benefits as therapy. Feel free to reach out for more information if you are an out-of-state clients.

Do I accept insurance?

No, I currently do not accept insurance. The payment platform used is built into the therapy software for additional security. I never see or can access your card information on this platform ensuring safety for both sides. Prices vary depending on the service, length, and time of day needed, so give me a call so I can better resolve any pricing queries.
